From Depression to Purpose

There was a season in my life when everything felt dark and unfamiliar. I woke up each day carrying a heaviness I didn’t have words for. Depression had quietly crept into my life, stealing my joy, my confidence, and the energy I once carried so naturally. It felt as if the world had stopped moving for me while everyone else kept going. But God has a way of using the smallest things to heal the biggest wounds.

And for me, that thing was cleaning.

Cleaning was something I grew up doing—something every East African woman knows deep in her bones. But during my hardest days, it became more than a chore. It became a place where I could breathe again. With each room I straightened, each surface I wiped, each corner I brought back to life, I felt something inside me clearing, too.

Slowly, I began to notice a shift. When I cleaned, I felt purpose again. I felt grounded. I felt connected to a version of myself that depression tried to bury.

And without even realizing it, I was building something—hope, strength, clarity, and eventually… a vision.

That vision became Pedag Cleaning Company, LLC.
Today, every service my company provides carries a piece of that journey. This is not just a cleaning company. It is a symbol of healing, resilience, and restoration. When we clean a home or a building, we are not just dusting surfaces.

We are creating peace.
We are creating order.
We are giving someone a fresh start, just like I once needed myself. My purpose was born in the middle of my pain. And now, every time Pedag Cleaning Company enters a space, we bring light, care, intention, and a touch of that healing journey with us. To anyone reading this who is struggling: Please know that purpose can grow in the darkest places. You may not see it now, but your story isn’t over. Pain can be transformed. Broken pieces can become stepping stones. And sometimes, the thing that saves you becomes the gift you offer the world.

Thank you for supporting my business, my journey, and my purpose. Your trust allows me to continue shining light where it’s needed most. From my heart to yours—thank you.

With gratitude and purpose,
